Dynamics 365 Business Central

Upgrade from NAV or GP to Business Central

We help UK businesses move from Dynamics NAV and Dynamics GP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with a planned migration and minimal disruption.

Why businesses are moving to Business Central

Dynamics NAV and Dynamics GP have served many businesses well, but older versions are harder to support, harder to integrate and miss out on Microsoft's latest features. Business Central keeps what you know, runs in the cloud, updates automatically and brings Copilot, Power BI and Microsoft 365 alongside it.

A good migration is the chance to tidy up years of customisations and workarounds, so you land on a cleaner system that is easier to run and easier to update.

How a Business Central migration works

A clear plan from your current system to a confident go-live.

Review your current system

We look at your NAV or GP set-up, customisations, reports and integrations to agree what moves, what changes and what retires.

Customisations to extensions

Old code is replaced with standard features or rebuilt as extensions, so future updates stay simple.

Data migration

Master data, open balances and agreed history moved and reconciled, with a parallel period before switching over.

Integrations and reporting

Connections and reports rebuilt for Business Central online, including Power BI where it helps.

Training

Focused on what's changed, so experienced NAV and GP users are productive quickly.

Cut-over and support

A planned go-live with hands-on support through your first month-end and beyond.

Try Business Central in an environment built around your business

Most trials drop you into a generic demo company that looks nothing like the way you actually work. Ours doesn't. We configure your free trial around your business and the use case you care about, so you and your team can test real scenarios with data and processes you recognise.

It starts with a short questionnaire about your industry, your current systems and what you want to prove out. Once that's back with us, your tailored trial can usually be made available within a few working days. Prefer a guided walkthrough first? A standard demo is still on the table - just tell us which you'd like.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Business Central is the successor to Dynamics NAV, so your data structure carries across. The main work is reviewing old customisations, replacing them with standard features or extensions where possible, and moving your data.

GP to Business Central is a migration rather than an upgrade. We move master data, open balances and an agreed amount of history, then reconfigure processes in Business Central, often simplifying them along the way.

We review each one. Many are now covered by standard Business Central features. The rest are rebuilt as extensions, which keeps future Microsoft updates much simpler.

Most NAV and GP migrations take three to six months, depending on the number of companies, customisations, integrations and how much history you want to bring across.

Business Central runs online as a Microsoft-hosted service, which removes server maintenance and keeps you on the latest version. We'll talk you through what this means for your integrations and reporting.
